Land Beneath Our Feet: Florida's ancient history comes alive in Land Beneath Our Feet opening December 19th through June 13th, 2009. On loan from the South Florida Museum in Bradenton; Land Beneath Our Feet explores the fascinating and unique geological history of Florida. Beginning millions of years ago when Florida was formed to current environmental issues, the exhibit provides an excellent base for study of rocks and minerals, fossils, and water that will be utilized by students, independent learners and families looking for an educational adventure. |

Barbie® doll! Celebrating 50 Years of an American Icon In celebration of the Barbie® doll’s 50th birthday a retrospective story of this most enduring toy icon of American culture will be told through the spectacular display of over 400 dolls from the private collection of Jo Anne Winspur. It will feature vintage Barbie® dolls modeling everything from casual sportswear to Parisian haute couture dating from 1959 into today. |

The Armory Antique firearms, weapons and armor from the collections donated to MOAS by Kenneth Worcester Dow and Mary Mohan Dow in 1998, these spectacular artifacts have never been exhibited before. This display includes the artistry of some of the most famous gunsmiths and weapon makers from the medieval period to the 19th century illustrated through a wide range of finely designed and decorated muskets, rifles and pistols, lions-head daggers, war axes, knives, sabers and straight-edge swords together with a rare late 17th century inlaid German crossbow. |

The Classical World: From the Tampa Museum of Art The Classical World is a long-term loan exhibition of 200 plus rare Greek and Roman antiquities from the Tampa Museum of Art. Recognized as the finest collection of its kind in the southeastern United States, The Classical World surveys the material culture of the Mediterranean area from the Neolithic period to the Roman Imperial period, roughly 8500 BC to 476 AD. |
