Volunteer

An enormous amount of help is given to the Museum by people who are not paid staff. From keeping the museum store running to giving guided tours, they undertake an astonishing range of tasks. Volunteers range from school pupils and graduates gaining work experience, to retired people who bring a lifetime of skills with them. MOAS is looking for friendly and enthusiastic volunteers to support the Museum's services and community activities.

There are many opportunities for people with a special skill or interest as well as those with experience of working with the public. All kinds of people volunteer for the Museum and find it a very rewarding experience, some having worked with the Museum for over forty years. After 50 hours of service volunteers are awarded a one-year membership to MOAS.
