Join us in the Lohman Planetarium as we welcome world-renowned astrophysicist Dr. Jocelyn Bell Burnell. In 1967, Dr. Bell Burnell discovered the first pulsar, a special type of neutron star, solidifying herself among the pantheon of great scientists. Her continued contributions to astronomy earned her a slew of awards and honors, including Damehood of the Order of the British Empire.
