The Eco Buggy Tour is now SOLD OUT. 

Join Volusia County's Environmental Specialist, Trey Hannah, and MOAS Educator, Kelsey Hansen for a two-hour tour of the Heart Island Conservation Area in DeLeon Springs. Travel on the Eco Buggy Tram and discover the pinewood flats, long leaf pine habitats, wetlands, mesic flatwoods, and learn how this area is being used to restore natural communities. Heart Island Conservation Area was purchased by the St. John's Water Management District in 1994 to protect the areas water resources and restore its timber resources. Bring a blanket, water, and a camera, and enjoy the ride through this amazing ecosystem while you learn about the flora and fauna of this important natural space.

The Eco Buggy Tram departs promptly at 9:00am from DeLeon Springs. 

DIRECTIONS: 

The tour will be meeting in a small parking area off of Lake Winona Road. The closest address to get you to this location is 6350 Lake Winona Road, DeLeon Springs, FL 32130. Be advised, this is not the exact address and may not be recognized by all GPS, and will only get you within 1 mile of the parking destination. To get to the parking area, stay on Lake Winona Road and look for the Volusia Education Program Yellow sign. The latitude/longitude of the location is Lat: 29.178362 Lon: -81.347119
