Event Description

Florida Ghost Towns
Join James "Zach" Zacharias, Senior Curator of Education and History for a unique look at the many Florida ghost towns that were once flourishing communities that crisscrossed the entire state. Many of those towns for various reasons fell on economic hard times and were completely abandoned. Learn about the lost city of El Dora and St. Francis in Volusia County and others like Yamoto, Liverpool, Newnansville, Acorn, and other towns that are now extinct in Florida.

The History of America's Great Launchpads

Join Seth Mayo and learn about the greatest space missions in history which began their journeys from launchpads at Cape Canaveral and the Kennedy Space Center. We will take a digital tour through some of these aging and almost forgotten launchpads, and how they enabled massive rockets to fly from Earth. Looking toward the future, we will explore the newest and upgraded launchpads that are launching commercial crews and missions to the Moon again.

Free for members, $7.00 for future members.
