	DESCRIPTION: Bring the whole family for a full day of activities at MOAS as we celebrate our 5th annual International Day of Women and Girls in Science. This event will host an inspiring group of women from various disciplines to highlight the amazing achievements, accomplishments, and work that is being done in all areas of science. There will be guest speakers in the Lohman Planetarium, as well as presenters and demonstrations throughout the Museum. \n   \n  Schedule:  \n 11:00am – 4:00pm – Vendors/organizations at tables in Root Hall and Entry Lobby \n 11:00am – Live “Flight Through the Universe” Planetarium Show  | Lohman Planetarium Women's Discoveries Witin Our Stars  - with Katie Wedderstrand, Planetarium Educator  \n 11:30am – Talk with Carley Metcalf, Education Coordinator, Marine Discovery Center  | Root Family Auditorium  \n 12:00pm - Talk with Alexandra vonHawk, Art Conservator, vonHawk Labs  | Root Family Museum  \n 1:00pm – Talk with Dr. Sara Langston, Assistant Professor of Spaceflight Operations, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical Universe  "Exploring the Final Frontier: Space Law and the Future of Space Exploration"   | Root Family Auditorium  Dr. Sara Langston will address space activities and exploration, the overarching framework for governing space actors engaged in spaceflight, her contribution in this field, and pose some interesting ethical questions for future exploration.  \n 1:00pm - The Little Star That Could Planetarium Show  | Lohman Planetarium  \n 2:30pm – Talk with Jessy Wayles, Community Engagement Coordinator, One Lagoon - Indian River Lagoon National Estuary Program  | Root Family Auditorium  \n 4:00pm – Keynote speaker –  "Human Spaceflight in the Orbital Age"  with Dr. Janet Kavandi, former NASA Astronaut and former President of Sierra Space  | Root Family Auditorium    \n   \n  Exhibitors/Vendors  \n ERAU Amateur Astronomy Club 101 Paws and Claws 4118 Roaring Riptide Marine Discovery Center First Robotics Team - A Byte Irrational UCF UCF's Exolith Labs MOAS Hands-on Stations Energy Station - Caitlyn Montgomery, MOAS Education Coordinator VCS Science Fair Winners Society of Women Engineers \n   \n Seating for our guest lectures is limited and is first come, first served. \n Free for members or with paid museum admission.
