Did you ever wonder what the Silk Road was all about? Join Chief Curator Tamara Joy in Root Hall at the Museum of Arts & Sciences as she steps on her Soapbox to discuss the history, stories, legends, and tall tales of this ancient highway. Join the camel caravans to bustling trade hubs like Samarkand and Uzbekistan. Trace the adventures of Marco Polo, Kublai Khan, and the Who’s Who of Desert Bandits. What about the Silk Princess and the cult of Heavenly Horses? How did Chinese silk and paper change the world?
