5:00pm Planetarium Show: From Earth to the Universe
The night sky, both beautiful and mysterious, has been the subject of campfire stories, ancient myths and awe for as long as there have been people. A desire to comprehend the universe may well be humanity's oldest shared intellectual experience. Yet only recently have we truly begun to grasp our place in the vast cosmos. To learn about the journey of celestial discovery, from the theories of the ancient Greek astronomers to today's grandest telescopes, we invite you to experience this show.
6:00pm Planetarium Show: Howl at the Moon
Explore the Moon, and other objects in the Fall and Winter sky, as well as the celestial constellations associated with dogs and wolves. We’ll also take a look at how ancient cultures connected the night sky to stories of animals and some of the myths and traditions surrounding the full Moon.
7:00pm Planetarium Show: Fright Lights
This festive show is the perfect way to get in the Halloween spirit! The not-so-scary presentation features different types of spooky Halloween characters and fun renditions of Michael Jackson’s hit song “Thriller.”
Free for Museum members with registration.
$10.00 per planetarium show for non-members.
