100 Faces of War, a traveling exhibition from the Smithsonian, features 100 oil portraits of Americans who went to war in Iraq and Afghanistan, by artist Matt Mitchell. Representing a cross section of home states, military branches, jobs, and backgrounds, every portrait includes a candid, first-hand account of war.

Funding for this exhibit was provided locally through a grant from the Florida Humanities Council with funds from the National Endowment for the Humanities. 100 Faces of War is an exhibition organized for travel by the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service in collaboration with artist Matt Mitchell.
