Movie Night in the Lohman Planetarium: The Peasants & Special Talk

Event Description

Join us in the Lohman Planetarium for an extraordinary movie night. The Peasants tells the story of Jagna, a young woman determined to forge her own path in a late 19th century Polish village - a hotbed of gossip and on-going feuds, held together, rich and poor, by adherence to colorful traditions and deep-rooted patriarchy From the Producers of “Loving Vincent This film is composed of about 1,800 oil paintings, created by 200 artists from around the world, taking about 2 years to complete.

Schedule:

Talk on period specific art by Katie Wedderstrand at 6:00pm.
Film 7:00-8:30pm. Ticket includes the 6pm talk and movie.

This film will be displayed in 16:9 aspect ratio on the Planetarium dome in stunning 4K Ultra high definition. Popcorn and snacks will be available at the concession stand. Please arrive at least 15 minutes before show start time. Advanced purchase of tickets is recommended by calling 386-255-0285.
