Pioneers Under the Stars: Barberville Pioneer Settlement + The Brown

Event Description

Barberville has partnered with the amazing team at the Lohman Planetarium at The Brown to bring you a BRAND NEW event to continue our 50th Anniversary Year-long Celebration!

Pioneers Under the Stars will be at the Settlement AFTER DARK, featuring high-powered telescopes, a live night-sky show, star-gazing storytelling from our storytellers, demonstrations, and activities of how pioneers cultivated the cosmos to navigate and dominate the world before GPS and weather apps!

Once the night gets dark, prime telescope viewing will begin, and Seth Mayo, Director of the Planetarium, will lead an in-person, outdoor tour of the sky.

The outdoor portion of the event is weather- & visibility-permitting. Any indoor demonstrations have limited seating and are first-come, first-served.
