WE NEVER LEFT: Artists of Southeast Indian Tribes

Root Hall
Open January 12, 2019 through April 14, 2019

This exhibition focuses on Native American artists who are descendants of the indigenous peoples who survived and continue to thrive in some portion of their Southeastern homelands despite most of their populations being relocated in the 19th Century. Included are paintings, sculpture, photographs, drawings, collages, beadworks, and basketry by nationally-recognized Native American artists of the Southeast.
