Pay Rate: $18 per hour
Staff Training Dates: June 4, 5, 6 | 9:00am – 3:00pm
Camp Start Date: June 9, 2025
Camp End Date: August 1, 2025
Days / Times: Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm

Age Groups Available:

  • Ages 5-6 (7 weeks)
  • Ages 7-9 (7 weeks)
  • Ages 10-13 (6 weeks)


As a Summer Camp Counselor, you will play a key role in ensuring every camper has an incredible experience. Duties and/or key responsibilities to include but are not limited to:

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Help facilitate engaging, hands-on activities for campers
  • Plan and lead ice-breakers and fun games to keep kids laughing and learning between scheduled activities
  • Be prepared to handle emergencies with care and confidence, ensuring camper safety
  • Communicate with parents to share the awesome experiences their kids are having at camp
  • Be a positive, supportive role model who creates a welcoming, inclusive environment for all
  • Perform other duties assigned as needed

Special Requirements

  • A background check is required after a conditional job offer is made.
  • A Drug screening is required and can be done at any of the locations we have listed on the form, at no cost to you.
  • May be required to stand for long periods of time 
  • May be called upon to carry or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Able to work well under pressure with children in a noisy environment.

Other duties 

  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned. 

Desired Qualifications 

  • Two or more years of experience working with children.
  • Degree in Education, Science, Art, History, or similar field. Or working towards a degree in a similar field.

 

Required Qualifications 

Desirable candidates should be energetic, outgoing, and have a genuine appreciation of working with children in an educational environment; have the ability to be a self-starter and work successfully with little supervision; the ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with staff; and the ability to effectively present content in both one-on-one and group situations in an engaging way. The successful candidate will also demonstrate effective problem-solving skills, patience and flexibility. Candidates must be at least 18 years of age.

This is a temporary seasonal position; no employee benefits are provided.
