Position Summary
Performs routine patrol of interior and exterior areas with focus on the specific galleries and wings to deter against vandalism or theft and ensure the safety of visitors, staff and vendors. The Security Officer observes and reports any inconsistencies.

- Achieve departmental goals by providing a safe a secure environment for guests and staff.
- Must successfully complete orientation and training prior to working a zone alone.
- Makes rounds of entire facility as assigned.
- Carry out other related duties as assigned by the head of Security, Director of Operations or Executive Director.

Preparation and Knowledge:
- Education: High School Diploma/ GED
- Prefer two years of experience in security related field.
- Introductory knowledge and skills with two-way radio operation, surveillance camera operation, and emergency situation resolution.
Additional Skills
- Calm and professional demeanor under pressure.
- Ability to act independently and give direction as well as receive direction from superiors.
- Preferably schooled in some level of security operations.
Physical Demands
- Must endure long periods of standing and walking
- Occasional lifting of over 50 pounds.

- MOAS is open 361 days a year. Employee is expected to work some holidays, evenings and/or weekends
- Ability to flex schedule and adapt to changes according to business and seasonal needs
