Event Description

Centuries ago, a mysterious creature appeared in art, journals, and ship logs, only to vanish from common memory. Now, the coatimundi steps back into the spotlight. Join author and animal caretaker Gaston “Trey” King in Root Hall at the Museum of Arts & Sciences as he steps on his soapbox to uncover the artistic, ecological, and historical significance of this overlooked species. Through historical evidence, scientific insight, and a remarkable personal story, Trey reveals how one rescued coati reignited a legacy of discovery, conservation, and wonder.
