Join us in the Lohman Planetarium on March 14th as we celebrate and explore the upcoming lineup of the Sun, Moon, and Earth in a total solar eclipse across North America. We will be preparing for April 8th, 2024, where the Moon will briefly cover the Sun, creating a shadow that will move across Mexico, Texas, the mid-western U.S. states, and through to New England. Although Florida will only be getting 60% coverage of the Sun during this eclipse (professionally recommended safe viewing is required), we will dive into how these planetary lineups work and how to safely view them here or in the path of totality through the heart of the U.S.
Free for members, $7.00 for non-members.
Please check-in with front desk. Pre-registration to the event does not include museum admission. Purchasing museum admission is required for entry.
