MOAS Night Sky Festival: Full Moon, Supermoon, Blue Moon

Date:
8/31/2023 at 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM

Event Description

What makes this Moon super? Is a blue Moon really blue? Join us in the Lohman Planetarium and MOAS Courtyard for a Night Sky Festival to find out! We’ll bring the telescopes and green astronomy lasers; you bring your curiosities and excitement for the Universe. The main attraction is the Moon, but we’ll also view Saturn and the summer constellations and will have hands-on Moon activities in the planetarium lobby. Be sure to stop by our Star Bar for a Blue Moon beer or a non-alcoholic Blue Moon Juice!

The outdoor portion of the MOAS Night Sky Festival is free and is weather permitting. Lohman Planetarium shows are free for members, $5.00 per show for non-members, and free for children 5 and under.

Parking is limited. Planetarium shows have limited seating and are first-come, first-served.
