Masterpieces and Mimosas: Colonial to Contemporary

Date:
10/2/2024 at 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM

Event Description

In the Lohman Planetarium at MOAS, join Donna Houtteman, creator of Art Blocks, virtually as she shares an energetic introduction to great American Art. Through the eyes of American artists, we will discover their reflection on the history of The United States, from the 17th century through the 20th centuries: Colonial Times, our New Nation, Self-Discovery, at Home and Abroad, Early Modernism, between the World Wars, and culminating with International Presence. Discover that art truly does reflect the time and place in which is was made. What a great way to learn history, through fabulous art! (And the other way around!)

Enjoy a complimentary mimosa with each session. Ages 21 and older are welcome.

Advanced registration is recommended online at MOAS.org or by calling the Museum at 386-255-0285.
