Event Description

Get ready for an astronomical adventure! Planetarium 2.0 is the official spacelift renovation that launches this summer at MOAS, featuring replica space suits, a NEW portable Planetarium, a NEW DigiStar projection system, and never-before-seen-shows, not to mention the stellar upgrades to the Lohman Planetarium Lobby! As we chart this course together your membership ensures you won't miss a moment of the extraordinary discoveries and space voyages that await. 

Our member preview day will include four scheduled "Grand Tour of the Cosmos" shows where you will experience an unforgettable cosmic adventure, merging exploration, education, and entertainment. Journey aboard our "Planetarium Spaceship," as we launch into Florida's spectacular night sky, soaring from our Solar System to see the cosmos and beyond. Oh, and did we mention there will be lasers?! On your cosmic voyage, rock out under the stars with a sampling of our Second Saturday Laser Rock Concerts, grooving to psychedelic tunes for a stellar fusion of science, spectacle, and sound!

Throughout the day, there will be hands-on activities and stations setup in Root Hall. 

In addition to hands-on activities throughout the evening, there will be 10-minute long shows in our NEW portable planetarium. These shows will be first-come, first-served.
