Event Description

Join us at the Museum of Arts & Sciences for our Shark Week Festival, presented by Jeep Beach! Celebrate the conclusion of MOAS Shark Week. This event will feature local educational organizations, craft vendors, shark-based activities for children, and much more!

11:00am: Ocean Stage Show: Earth's Ancient Oceans
Journey back through time with MOAS Interpretation Specialist, John Herman as we discuss what life was like in Earth's ancient oceans. Learn more about the famous Megalodon and its relatives, dive into the largest mass extinction event in history. and learn about it would've been like to be alive during the time of the dinosaurs. 

2:00pm: Ocean Stage Show: The Ocean of Color
Corals, macroalgae’s, and fish swirl in a vast ocean filled with more color thancan be imagined. Join MOAS Interpretation Specialist John Herman as he discusses various colorful flora and fauna, from vast coral reefs to the humble clownfish!

 

Additional activities will be announced. 

Free for members or with paid museum admission.
