Visions of Florida features the art of a photographer often called the “Ansel Adams of Florida”. Clyde Butcher hopes that his large-format, black-and-white photography of Florida’s natural landscapes will change the way people think of Florida. Just as Adams’ work did for California and the American West.
Discover an undisturbed paradise that is rapidly disappearing. Through the eyes of one of America’s finest landscape photographers, journey into the realm of natural Florida – a world seldom seen either by tourists or longtime residents.

Please Note: The Clyde Butcher lectures have been canceled. We understand that this news may be disappointing, and we share in that disappointment. We regret to announce that Clyde and Niki Butcher cannot attend the lecture as planned. They were both looking forward to meeting everyone, especially the students. However, due to heart issues, Clyde has surgery scheduled for that time. We deeply appreciate your understanding. Thank you.
Please stay tuned for additional information regarding events in conjunction with the exhibition, including an exhibition themed talk & walk program, guided by Senior Curator of History, Zach Zacharias: /Talk-and-Walk--Visions-of-Florida-7-15675.html
