Event Description

Celebrate the 55th anniversary of the Moon landing in the Lohman Planetarium with Apollo 11. This universally acclaimed documentary consists entirely of archival footage, including 70 mm film that was previously unreleased to the public. Director Todd Douglas Miller edited 11,000 hours of film down to a concise, but breathtaking tour of the first lunar landing mission. Don’t miss this one!

This film will be displayed in 16:9 aspect ratio on the Planetarium dome in stunning 4K Ultra high definition. Popcorn and snacks will be available at the concession stand. Following the movie, cap off Week of the Moon with hands-on table displays in the Lohman Planetarium Lobby, featuring UCF’s Exolith Lab. Weather permitting, enjoy stunning, telescopic views of the full Moon and more in the MOAS Courtyard.
